Rocky Mountain

Midlands Chapter

RMEF believes everyone should have the opportunity to hunt, fish, shoot a bow, or learn other outdoor skills in a safe and ethical manner. To that end, RMEFSouth Carolina Chapters both fund and mentor shooting and hunting programs across the state. More than 50 boys and girls have completed RMEF’s James L. Knorr Youth Shooting Program, a nine-week course introducing South Carolina’s youth to firearms.

If you love good times and the outdoors like we do, you won't want to miss the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Midlands Chapter's 5th annual banquet and fundraiser. We guarantee you a great time supporting a great cause!

This year's banquet is on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at Woodmen of the World Lodge. Doors open at 5:30 PM. During the "social hour" you'll enjoy drawings, raffles, games, drinks, and the silent auction. Dinner and live auction will follow.

Proceeds from this event will go to support RMEF's vital conservation efforts. Need proof?
Since 1984, the Elk Foundation has:

- Permanently protected more than 1,500 square miles of critical elk habitat.
- Opened more than 626,875 acres to the public to hunt, fish and roam.
- Improved nearly 5 million acres of habitat across elk country.
- Funded more than 7,000 projects to promote conservation education and North America's hunting herit

Few organizations can boast such numbers - a reflection of the efficiency that earned RMEF a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.

Local RMEF chapter events raise the lion’s share of the funding for Elk Foundation conservation work. The Elk Foundation emphasizes habitat conservation and enhancement in states with wild elk herds, but a portion of funds raised in South Carolina are kept in-state to benefit local conservation education and hunting heritage activities that introduce young people and women to the outdoors, promote hunter safety and responsibility, provide physically challenged individuals and wounded veterans with a hunting experience, and involve youth in conservation.

Knife This year will feature even more chances to win at raffles and games. Our auctions will feature unique and exciting items for the whole family. If you have never attended a banquet, this year is a great year to come join the fun and excitement! The banquet will be held at The Woodmen of the World located on Hwy 1 in West Columbia exit 111 off of I-26. It's right beside the Hwy 1 flea market.
